Frequently asked questions

Answers for students before applying, while an application is in review, and during the internship.

Before you apply

Who can apply?

BS (undergraduate), graduate and MS/MPhil students from recognised universities across Pakistan. Each programme can add its own requirements, so read the programme page before applying.

Is the internship paid?

No. PASTIC internships are unpaid. No stipend, salary or financial assistance is provided.

How long is an internship?

6 or 8 weeks, depending on the programme. The programme page shows the length and the planned dates.

Which documents do I need?

A CNIC copy, university ID or bonafide letter, CV, academic transcript and a passport-size photograph. Some programmes also ask for a department referral letter. Files can be PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB each.

Applying

Can I save my application and finish later?

Yes. Complete your profile first, then save the application as a draft, upload your documents and submit when everything is ready.

How do I know my application was received?

You get a reference number when you submit, and the application appears on your dashboard and Status page.

Can I change my documents after submitting?

Submitted applications are locked for review. If the internship office needs something, you get a request in your account and can update your application then.

What happens after I am accepted?

When a place is ready you get an offer to confirm. If all places are taken, you wait in the queue and get the offer as soon as one is free.

During and after the internship

How is attendance recorded?

Your supervisor records it every working day. You can see it under Attendance in your account. A full week with no attendance and no approved leave ends the internship.

When can I request my certificate?

After the internship ends and your final evaluation is recorded. You first give feedback and upload the report you submitted to your department, then request the certificate.

How can someone check my certificate?

On the Verify a certificate page, using the certificate number.
